A picture truly is worth
a thousand words.
Men and women executives alike, today’s leaders are in
demand; finishing the report for your senior team
meeting,
re-organizing your department, inspiring a poor
performer, presenting to your professional group,
chairing the Board of Trustees for a community service
organization, making dinner, attending parent night at
school and making time for friends. Oh and hopefully you
get to use those athletic shoes now and then. With all
these demands, the pressure is still intense to perform
and you need to be on top of your game. Even with the
flurry of activity, the old adage can be true – it’s
lonely at the top.
I’ve been there. Who am I kidding? While my current
company may be small, I’m there! What I know is that a
coach, a client’s trusted confidante, can give
unparalleled support and offer insights and intuition
with an objective eye. Most importantly, a coach will
guide a leader to alignment with the leader’s own
values, bringing meaning back to their work and lives.
And quite frankly, that’s what it’s all about. Getting
to the C-suite has no meaning if you lose yourself in
the process.

Executive Coaching for
Leaders
I consider it a privilege to work with my clients. I
believe in them, seek to stretch them and support them
in seeing new possibilities for themselves. My 23 years
of leadership and Human Resources experience blends with
my knowledge of the science of human flourishing to
support my clients in maximizing their potential.
Enhancement of well-being is at the core of my coaching.
Why? Because those who are happier, have a more broad
perspective, are more creative, receive better work
evaluations, are more altruistic, make more money, stay
married longer, and even live longer. The benefits of
enhanced well-being are enormous and you can have it!
The FOCUS model provides the foundation for my coaching.
It is important for both the coach and the client to
know where the client is headed. Clarifying the client’s
vision or dream is the first step in the model and it is
my job as the coach to keep that vision in front of the
client. While holding the vision we build
self-awareness, a cornerstone of emotional intelligence.
Daniel Goleman’s work has proven emotional intelligence
to be vital to excellence in leadership. My clients gain
deep self understanding, which supports them in their
personal growth and social connections.
Coaching provides opportunities for the client in both
learning and action. To achieve the client’s vision,
they must get into action. We work together to set
“action steps” from session to session. There is no
monumental master plan. The path to achieving the vision
reveals itself one step at a time. And of course the
vision is fluid; always informed by what’s happening
right now.
The learning process never ends, even for great leaders.
If you are not growing, you are decaying. Our practice
has tools to help leaders evaluate their leadership
effectiveness. My clients use this information to evolve
their leadership. Supporting leaders to take their
leadership to the next level is my passion.
If you are interested in the prospect of being coached,
ask yourself:
 |
What does the next
level of leadership look like for me? |
 |
How would my career
be different if I were more inspirational? |
 |
What accomplishment
is waiting for me? |
 |
What would I do if I
had the courage? |
 |
What will my legacy
be? |
If you experience a knowing
that now is the time for you to fully step into your
leadership, contact me at

"Whereas I have found prior coaching experiences
to be directive, Julie does a masterful job of helping
you to assess your strengths and weaknesses. Instead of
"telling" you what to do, she guides you toward the
improvement you seek by teaching you useful skill sets."
